cinematic indulgence}
tonight/at the
New Beverly Cinema/
apparently it's
The Grindhouse Film Festival
a double slotted slather of creative (and probably low budget) masterpieces/
unsung heroes (or warriors, anyway) of the history of moviemaking.
first, Squirm (1976) at 7:30, starring bloodworms running amok in a small town.
the director [Jeff Lieberman] will appear (maybe) to discuss the film.
then
Amin: The Rise and Fall (1981), at 10:00, a movie not available
on DVD (meaning you could play the film buff/ talking about movies
that seemingly don't exist) about a troubled cannibal dictator of Uganda.
the screenwriter [Wade Huie] will appear (most likely (i mean what
else is he doing tonight, right?)) to introduce the movie.
All Ages (idunno, maybe), Admission: $8.00
