"oh honey," shit to do tomorrow night--
so there doesn't seem to be any good shows off the bat ... ..yeah, today is june 28th, so tomorrow will be the 29th. can you fu ck wh at yo u st and for?
Blitzen Trapper is (i reAlise now what dennis reynolds was going for when he busted his glam rock grooves just listening to david bowie's cover of what i think is the who's i cant' explain really just encompasses the whole glam rock shit dennis likes, right>?) performing at El Rey theatre/casino. they're from Portland, Oregon playing pleasant music to share with your folks with some mike's hard lemonade. not really my scene i guess; they're aiming for a "Indie / Country / Electro" field, so more power to them.
they're playing with something called Moondoggies
8pm, $18 (aaaahh!), info on the show, info on the venue

nothing more seems worth the mention.... maybe all the good shows were yesterday.

there's cum on your keyboard.
you want to have been to that show at vlad the retailer's. here are pictures:

shit to do Saturday night, the 19th of June/

back on the old horse (only with a slingshot, a cheap harmonica, and a big black uhuru pin)/

first thing's first; for movie-goers ...
8:00 p.m./ at the Silent Movie Theatre/ find the Cinefamily host a 2nd Annual Comedy Festival. tonight will feature a Jeannie Berlin double feature, featuring the following feature films:
The Heartbreak Kid is a satirical dark comedy about some jewish guy running around doing things that ultimately has some sort of underlying, moral preaching shit going on.
Bone is about a used car salesman dealing with a dead rat in his swimming pool. it's also a dark comedy, so i guess you should bring a night light... too funny.
cheap cheap $10

8:00 p.m./ at the Troubadour/ just some bands with dreams (there's probably something pervy underlying that soft faced sounding exterior),
The Like, Infantree, Tijuana Panthers
for only an arm and a leg/ or $12 cash

8:30 p.m./ at Vlad the Retailer/ freaky deaky indie pillows and blossoms (topped with paprika) ....

all LIVE!! coming at you for only $5

9:00 p.m./ en el Echo Curio/ rock out with your tongue out, it's
Gypsyhawk's record release show (they sound really terrible, yeeesh).
also starring Lungbutter, Huntress and an "all girl tribute to Spinal Tap" called Tap This (the only reason this gig seems worth the mention [...they're probably not even british though...])
show will cost you $5
more info here (somewhere)

meanwhile at the Smell/ it's seemingly sexy band name night ...
gonna run you about $5

should i continue with this?

i really only meant to record upcoming shows i wanted to keep in mind/
i don't go to even half the shows i post.
who does though right?
i'm thinking on screen, i guess is the way to describe this going on right here

you know it disturbs me that i spend so much time like this.
shooting ideas back and forth in my mind. ideas that don't amount to anything but what looks to be a waste of fucking time. too much time. then i think of Charles Bukowski.

i hate feeling like i can relate to something.

it makes me think of people who talk about how they can relate to something
when it seems obvious to me that they are lying to seem cool.

perception.
suddenly i the idea of it nauseates me.

getting worked up over
anything
must be nature's biggest fault.

anger hatred revenge
feel good

stories have this tendency to make "good" prevail.

can man really break fear.

maybe "evil" is essentially merely something [remotely anything] that scares man.

death is generally associated with "evil," but it's nature.

a tiger killing another tiger is hardly regarded as evil as a man killing a man.

in the long run

beyond any apocalypse or second coming

man will become extinct/

and whatever books and records remain

won't have a soul [intelligent or otherwise] to bask in its grace.

words is cool to use/
Thursday, May 27, 2010
